Worked with Forest & Bird extensively to develop new brand positioning and visual identity for Forest & Bird, to maintain awareness and build memberships on a small budget.
Forest & Bird take a leadership role in tackling a wide range of conservation challenges in New Zealand. They faced significant challenges in building their membership base, which was decreasing over time, many New Zealanders, particularly those in Auckland, simply were not aware of Forest & Bird.
After reviewing recent research, we developed the brand essence of “Giving nature a voice”. This brand essence reinforced that Forest & Bird is about much more than forests and birds, and a brand that firmly positioned Forest & Bird as a contemporary, vibrant and uniquely New Zealand organisation. Design elements focused on the unique species and places that define our country and are part of both our collective heritage and individual memories of enjoying the outdoors.
